This might be my favorite work of art. The Pieta by Michelangelo was so lovingly crafted with special attention not only to incredible detail, but to the deep, emotional love Mary has for her son even–and especially–in his death. The artistry and the profound meaning behind the piece are both staggering. What strikes you most about it?
