This painting by Norman Rockwell is entitled, “You Can Trust Me, Dad.” That title made me love the painting all the more. It speaks of such respect which flows both ways in this relationship, of a son’s desire to make his father proud, of a father’s unshakable respect for his son who is off to do noble things.
