This was my first real experiment with watercolor markers. It’s a bit more design-oriented than what I normally do, but I had a lot of fun with it. This particular painting depicts Puddleglum from C.S. Lewis’ The Silver Chair from the Chronicles of Narnia. In the scene from which I’m quoting, Puddleglum is being tempted to renounce everything he believes and follow a witch, and he responds with this quote. It always struck me, and so I decided that this painting needed to happen.
