In the words of my dad, I’m addicted to romance. I’ve spent countless hours dreaming of the day I’ll begin life with my own Prince Charming, planning my wedding, watching good, wholesome romance movies, and otherwise living vicariously through the beautiful love stories of my friends’ lives. I yearn for that companionship and vocation of bringing each other to Heaven. My parents are the most beautiful example of marriage to me, and naturally they’ve set the bar pretty high and give me a lot to dream about. This painting is about that dream, that someday I’ll know the love of selfless giving and joy that my parents have.
