Adoration by Paul Peel

Paul Peel was a Canadian artist born on November 7, 1860.  He painted very human scenes, images which brought out not only the events of everyday life but the experience, love, and interactions of his characters.  His paintings are relatable.  You want to be in the moment with the characters, to know them personally.  This kind of art is challenging to create because not only must the artist be able to accurately represent shapes and colors and values, but he must be able to paint his characters in postures and with facial expressions which emit the feel for which he is striving.  Peel has done this; you feel comfortable with his characters.

Below are shown a couple more of his touching paintings.
